Fleet management xtended access

When drivers are within the vehicle's communication range, their smartphone is connected with the vehicle. As the smartphone moves closer to the vehicle and into the unlocking zone, the app automatically unlocks the vehicle – thanks to secure ultra-wideband technology and BLE. If the smartphone battery is empty, NFC provides access.

When drivers exit the vehicle, it autonomously starts searching for a key. If the smartphone moves away from the vehicle and out of the locking zone, the app locks the vehicle automatically and the driver receives a confirmation message on the smartphone.

The vehicle access system works for entire fleets of vehicles. Using the web application, fleet operators can grant and withdraw access to vehicles for a specific period of time. This allows them to distribute vehicle keys digitally to the apps of the drivers. The key management system can also be integrated directly into the fleet management software of fleet operators.

Using the web application, fleet operators can send their drivers a key for their vehicle. As a result, fleet vehicles can be allocated to other users very easily and at any location. An individual authorization profile can be created for each driver and set for a specific period of time.

With the passive start function, the integrated system provides additional convenience. Authorization to start the engine is given by the digital key. UWB ensures that the smartphone with the digital key is always in the vehicle.

As soon as a driver has selected a vehicle in the app and the smartphone is in the vehicle's communication range, the smartphone and control unit in the vehicle connect. The vehicle can be unlocked via the smartphone app thanks to BLE.

When the driver exits the vehicle, it can be locked at the touch of a button in the smartphone app. The position of the vehicle is saved in the backend. As soon as the next driver is about to use the vehicle, the information about the position is transmitted so that the vehicle can be found more quickly.
